How did I miss this album? This is terrific! Some of their finest work. FNM fans will love this.

Sol Invictus really is good. They played a couple of shows at the Roundhouse last June and were on cracking form. I was well excited. :o

I'm guessing KC's album up there is Front 242?

Best new album I have heard this year. I have long been a fan of theirs but this is a new level. Wickedly diverse and probably appeal to only 2 (half of the) members of this forum. For those needing to hear an entry, go to 'Pray' or 'Lowlands' on YT. And of course the drummer and axist are mint. Outstanding.

Wicked. I like that, she is super cool. Your daughter has taste.

Rob is one cool mofo. His films are pretty frucken freaky too. We'd love another album Rob!

shes been well coached musically mate.
but shes found her own groove now, deftones and rammers and rob zombie are her faves for sure.
id rather her be a bit of a rock chick than a girly dancey douche type any day..
less to worry about.. ;)

and yeah im in for a new rob album..
thunderkiss was a tune i played for a pal, when he said he hated rock music, and he was all "yeah, thats pretty good i suppose"..
shes listening to a band called 'emigrate'..its the lead guitarist from rammstein singing, and pretty good to boot..

I listened to their entire catalog a couple of weeks ago. They are great band, and that's their best album.

I have to admit that I have not heard their newer albums, since they re-formed.

Yeh I would find it hard to find a fave between Dirt and Facelift. Great band.

'Black gives way to blue' is a pretty good album. Lacks a killer blow but it is still a very good listen. 'The devil put dinosaurs here'...not so good.

I have seen them with the new singer and he was great. To be honest Jerry does a lot more singing than I thought, I think maybe he started doing a few of the old songs since Layne died.

I was surprised to see how many songs Jerry sang lead on when they did MTV Unplugged back in 1996.

That's been a permanent feature on all my phones for the last 5 years or so. Listen to it fairly reggers. Fucking great album, really deep. I've said it before but Cantrell is one smooth fucking dude on a guitar, makes it sing. I welled up a bit when they toured again for the first time in years and they finished with Rooster. :violin:

Silence in the snow by trivium.
Loving it to be honest.
Its a bit more main stream thrashy ala metallica but they do. Do a wicked cover live of master of puppets.

Cant wait.to see em live next.month.
Oh and i love the deulling solos they do..

Despite all their individual playing ability I have always found Trivium lightweight. Given the oppty I would see them live but, I won't chase them out. Its as if they SOOO want to be heavy but they just cant summon it.
