rangers can fuck off, as can scottish football. it's only point is to drain the championship and league 1 of players.

I've seen both sets of fans acting like c*nts in and around Manchester in the past. Bollocks to the lot of em.

I do like Tunnocks Tea Cakes though.

And Deacon Blue.

You're overestimating the standards of Scottish football. Players at the likes of Motherwell and Inverness CT regularly come from League 2 or below.

Celtic and Rangers can't be better than say, a mid table Championship side? Or is that too generous? :D

Oh dear.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-g ... t-17115433

Craig Whyte has admitted using money from the sale of future season ticket income "to complete the takeover" of Rangers football club in May 2011.

A statement issued by Mr Whyte said Ticketus paid £20m in return for ticket revenues for the next three seasons.

Rangers was forced into administration last week after failing to pay a multi-million pound HMRC tax and VAT bill.

The administrators said there was "widespread concern" about the Ticketus agreement.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And if Rangers goes bust, Ticketus are left where exactly? oops.

Because I'd like to see a big club go bust, makes stuff interesting, something to talk about.

That's really a very strange point of view.

Why is it? I don't really have any love for Scottish football. It would be entertaining to see some chaos.

Rangers owner Craig Whyte has been banned for life from any involvement in Scottish football.

The Scottish Football Association also imposed a 12-month transfer embargo on the club, who are in administration.

Rangers have been fined £160,000 while Whyte - who was charged with not being a fit and proper person to be a director - faces fines of £200,000.

"It doesn't affect my life, I'm just disappointed what it does to Rangers. It's an outrage," Whyte told BBC Sport.

He was charged with three different rule breaches, and found guilty of two, with the other "not proven"

Rangers were charged with six breaches, with five guilty verdicts and one "not proven".

The transfer embargo means they can only sign players under the age of 18 for the next year.

---------------------------

Well done the SFA. He passed their fit and proper test, even though he clearly isn't fit and proper. And then they punish the club for Whyte's part in the whole mess.

Why so Gibbo? I think they've handled it pretty well given the mess they're faced with.

The easy option would have been to land Whyte with all the blame and, thereby, whitewash over the role of Sir David Murray (a title is pretty much shorthand for wrongun these days ain't it?) in building up a massive debt level at the club.
Tough on the fans but fair too as you could argue the titles that they won they did so in the financial equilavant of a drug doped athlete or cyclist.

Fair point. I was saying exactly this to Baron Walmsley in the club on Tuesday afternoon.
