The Venky's Group, owners of Blackburn Rovers Football Club, has today confirmed the departure of manager Sam Allardyce and assistant manager Neil McDonald with immediate effect.

First team coaching duties will be taken on by Steve Kean (currently 1st team coach) for the immediate future.

We have taken this decision as part of our wider plans and ambitions for the club. We would like to put on record our thanks to Mr. Allardyce for his contribution to Blackburn Rovers Football Club.

I hope he doesn't get a job in the Premier League. His brand of "football" is a joke. Even his own players are embarassed by it

New owners didn't hang around long before getting shot did they. Maybe they know more about football than I gave them credit for...

Wonder who they've lined up to replaced him. Doubt it'll be Houghton - it'll be some foreign manager they were tapping up during the take over I expect.

Or the FA have come to their senses and realised Fat Sam is the man to bring the world cup home.

Fat Sam knows all about Opta stats and food and stuff so he'll be taking over at Barca for sure.

I think he's a bit overrated to be fair.

Chicken farmers would have sacked him and will have Hughton lined up.

Fattadyce.

This is a great story to share a bit of the burden on the back pages tomorrow though. Good on you Fat Sam and the Venky Boys.

Fat Sam and the Venky Boys Surely another band name for Bastard. He'd need a bass player and someone fat to be in the band.

They must have someone lined up as he was not doing that badly results wise.
The problem (or fascination) this year with the league is that a team can go up or down 3or 4 places each week dependant on results.
Anyone who puts 4 wins together can go from 16th to 6th in a month.

The original Fat Sam was, of course, a gang leader in Bugsy Malone.

Allardyce can cock off, with his rudimentary shite prehistoric football.

And to say that he was touted as a potential England manager just a few years back....

Slightly unrelated, but Karen Brady was asked for her views on the sacking by Talkshite, she thinks it was down to player power, and then went on to tell a tale about when an 'unnamed manager' was sacked by Birmingham, as he was making his way across the car park to his car for the final time, he looked back to see all the playing staff doing the conga round the car park. Gave me a BOAC. :D

Doubt it, Bruce was well liked and doing a decent job but didn't get any assurances when they got bought by that bloke from Hong Kong or wherever, and walked.
