It's a myth anyway, a tiny fraction of Spurs fans are Jewish, probably not significantly more than any other London club. True there's a large Orthodox community in North London, places like Golders Green, but I very much doubt any of those guys attend football matches. The anti-semetic shit the same people keep coming out with on here only serves to highlight how ignorant they are. |

I don't care for racism. Casual racism is fine, cos it's funny. I do find it funny that spurs sing 'Yids, yids, yids' as their own song though. |

Yeah the "Yids" chant that goes round the stadium is quite good, something quite tribal about it. I know a few non-Jewish Spuds fans who sing it, it's part of the tradition of the club, like we sing about the invisible man whoever the fuck that is. Casual racism can be amusing, it's when you realise some people are genuinely bigoted and hate-filled it gets less funny, like only saying "Jew bastards" or making jokes about putting screaming Jews into an oven, or some of the shit Blue duck comes out with. |
