Newcastle fans have reacted furiously after learning that relatives of Osama Bin Laden are among the front runners to buy their club. The Bin Ladens, who own a Saudi Arabian building firm, are set to bid £300m for the Premier League club. (The Sun)

Oh dear.

I wonder if the Geordie faithful will take the streets to welcome the new Messiah, will they get 40 lashes for blasphemy?

I was gonna post this yesterday. There was also a story that Ashley approached an American investment co about buying newcastle. They said they weren't interested. It also said he wants £200million more than he paid. After being hailed a hero for buying the club, surely the fans are now beginning to realise he was really a wolf in... in a XXL newcastle shirt.

The fat bastard never went to a game before he bought the club. He couldn't give a shite.

Bin Laden Industries is a huge and highly respected group of companies.
(they are international members of the same trade association that the company I work for are in and have been for years)

Nothing wrong with them owning Newcastle imo.

They are not responsible for the actions of one family member who has nothing to do with the business and who they have publicly disowned are they?

Genuine lollage.

And yes, they are a respectable company but it won't stop people connecting Osama with the rest of his family, much in the same way that Thaksin was connected to the military thugs that eventually overthrew him. And no, I'm not saying the two are the same, just that 'by association' is a very powerful thing.*

After all, it makes good copy.

*Actually that bit was just for Slart. I can't help myself. I'm going to Hell for sure. Might as get my value for money.
