The Hoops have secured some hefty sponsors (Gulf Air) and major financial backing and strategic nouse, a decent manager and are showing all the signs of being a fairy tale club for next few years.

I think they will become a force in a very short time.

Money isn't everything though. Chelsea have had decent managers and spent pot loads of money but still haven't lifted the CL cup.

Pourquoi? I used to live in QPR catchment area, jury is still out on the fans IMO.

Yes, but they have won trophies and have now muscled themself in and established themself to be a top 4 club.

Perhaps I dont expect enough but if City were challenging for No. 1 finish and final of FA cup each season, I would consider us as having achieved.

Funnily enough they're mine too. I spent the first 2 years of my life in the heartland of QPRdom. My uncle cousins etc all support them. If my dad hadn't taken a job in Manchester I'd have ended up supporting them too.

I used to go and watch QPR with my cousin whenever I was in London. Before the days of the new stands they had built, when it was really just open terraces. Decent atmosphere though and all my subsequent visits with the blues have been good ones. In fact the first game I ever took Mrs Emigre to was QPR away when kinky played a blinder and we came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2.

You betcha.

I'd been out in Brixton the night before drinking Mojitos and, y'know, other stuff. Hadn't slept. Probably didn't loook in the best condition to be sitting in the away end. :D

There's a latin dancing bar in the railway arches just opposite The Fridge and up a bit. They were text book. That's my travel guide done for the day.

Brixton and Hamburg. Just do it.
