Never see the likes again i hope.

You mean that guy wearing Kompany's kit? I sure hope not. If not I dare say he won't stay long at this club.

We're not going to win anything this season unless we sort our defence out. Didn't se the game but read the match report, sounded like kompany and sagna were responsible for all their goals.

Ftr I think mangala will come good this season.

I trust Mangala but I don't trust Kompany even a little. Genuinely never thought it would get to this but I rather he didn't start for a while. Denayer and Manga should start against west brom. Even Humphrys had a better preseason than Kompany.

strong strong talk of pep..
can we right this season off already, in anticipation of him.
Unless pellers signs a new contact or pep at german U*d then that talk will only get stronger as the season goes on.

then whatever big money we were gonna blow this year, can be pep's..

unless he's already telling his mate tixilix who he wants..?

but as it stands, looking how we do, im hoping we make top 4..

:(

What i meant by the line up is having Nasri, Silva, Sterling, Bony and Navas in the same 11

Wonky.

I'm not over fussed by pre-season but our lack of quality at the back is deeply worrying as is Pellers lack of direction of the players we do have in those positions.

"alright lads, when they sling a cross in it's your job to get the old noggin on before they do ok?"

Not exactly rocket science is it?

I don't expect the defence to be any worse than last season. At worst it stays the same, but as one or two other have said, I think Mangala will be better this season, Denayer might be an interesting option, and we've potentially got a better shielding player in Delph when he's fit.

The attack on the other hand I think will be a lot better. Sterling will give us the penetration we missed against in some of those flat performances last season (Burnley, Hull, Palace and one or two more) and it sounds like there might be another couple still to come in.

Be nice to see a decent striker come in.

Am I the only one who thinks Bony will do well this season?
Far better player than Benteke imo and offers a genuine plan B.

I do too. Showed signs of settling in towards the end of last season, and a good spoil for Sergio.

I'm still holding reservarions on Bony.

Think our CB pairing at WBA should be Kompany Denayer.

I think Bony will get double figures, mostly against the shitter teams.

Named quite an impressive squad for pre-season but Iheanacho is not included due to visa issues. (or maybe on his way)

Squad: Joe Hart, Willy Caballero, Angus Gunn, Billy O'Brien, Vincent Kompany, Pablo Zabaleta, Fernando Reges, Raheem Sterling, Samir Nasri, Nolito, Sergio Aguero, Aleksandar Kolarov, Wilfried Bony, Jesus Navas, Fabian Delph, David Silva, Gael Clichy, Fernandinho, Jason Denayer, Nicolas Otamendi, Bruno Zuculini, Yaya Toure, Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Zinchenko, Pablo Maffeo, Tosin Adarabioyo, Bersant Celina, James Horsfield, Brandon Barker, Sinan Bytyqi, Angelino Tasende, Aleix Garcia, Manu Garcia, Cameron Humphreys.

nice to billy O'brien get his shot, his uncle is a work pal..
he's got dodgy wrists by all accounts, keeps breaking them, but i hope he can forge a path in this game at a decent level somewhere..

Apart from Aguero and Nolito I'd say that's a list of people who need to play their way into Pep's plans.

Obviously pep going back to where he just came from..awkward much.
I.would expect them to put a strong side out.
So it could be interesting for a early pre season.

On bt sport i think pals.
