it is a fucking dive, most of the stokies i've met have been scum. proper scum. kind of shows when 8,0000 of them vote for 10 BNP councillors, a relative majority over those who voted for labour councillors, 14,000 for 20. and in terms of what the locals say... well they like the BNP candidates in their shiny suits, because they go door to door and because they campaign against a relatively small number of non-white (less than 3%) people getting council housing. usual perception of "they're taking our jobs and our houses"...
