You are looking at 2 different kinds of keepers playing in 2 different teams playing different styles of play.
De Gea is a shot stopper who gets plenty of practice playing with Utd.
Ederson suits City’s style because his distribution is much better than De Gea.
I suppose that a goalkeeper’s prime function is to stop the ball going in the goal and as such De Gea looks better because he has had to do that more times than Ederson because of his crap defence.

Arsene Wenger will leave Arsenal at the end of the season.

From the OS regarding The Otter;

The City centre-back, selected in the 2017-18 PFA Team of the Year, has registered 2,902 passes, which is more than any other player has managed since data began being collected in the 2006-07 season.

It eclipses the previous best of 2,829 set by Cesc Fabregas in 2015-16.

See, I don't think I give him enough kudos, cos the truth is he still makes me nervous in defence. He scores goals and as mentioned above is among the ball, well, more than any other player obviously. I just like my defenders to first excel at defending.

Allardyce has bit the dust, think it's a bit harsh myself.

Moyes has left West Ham

Chelsea have signed Jorginho from Napoli who was imminent to us for about 3 weeks.

Higher ups at City not at all happy with this.

I am not that upset. Seems soft and unproven at PL.

Jose, already pissing me off in the pre-season. Claiming he wanted 5 players and the board only managed 1, maybe 2. Has't he ruined enough great players careers already? Cannot wait for the snoozefest he puts on this season. He's such a victim. :hand:

The rag bastards didn't sound as turgid as usual against Leicester, may not be fuck awful to watch this season.

Scouse twats

Clearly it looks to be us and red scouse as the two likely winners of the league this season, forgive me if I am being assumptive but it certainly looks that way. While I respect Klopp's lot, and they are clearly an awesome attacking team, am I convinced that they are well rounded enough from defence through to offence to win the league? I am not sure they are. Yes I know they have let in less goals than us.

I hope I am being objective in weighing up City compared to l'pool but when I look at both teams and what it takes to win the league I have lean toward us. In no way do I think the league is ours, but on the balance of it I think we are in terrific shape right now and some outstanding players to come back from injury.

Footnote: from time to time for fun I go to redcafe for a read about what they are talking about. It's fun reading their melt downs. I have to lol at the posts about how 'City are making the league boring' and how we've bought the league etc. How short a memory do they have?

A pretty fair, non-partisan analysis tbh DS. I think what undid us against the chavs were their decent fullbacks, which the murdering bin dippers lack. They are less well balanced than us, which will hopefully bear fruit in May.

It was just their day..
And we had a off second half.
They had that goal at a bad time for us and it gave them something to cling on to...

Not sure I agree with this Gibbo, Alexander Arnold and Robertson are as good as any in the league right now unfortunately. Walker and Mensynif he can get a run of games would be up there too. For the Chavs, Az.. at right back is good but Alonso is a liability defensively. HUGE game on 3rd Jan. need to wrap up Sergio in cotton wool so he’s ready for that one as we haven’t got anyone who offers the same threat through the middle right now.

I imagine any chance of silverware went out the window for Spurs with Kane out for 2 months. C'est dommage.
