..now. After signing this fella. He's not premier quality, but still has the finest name in football....

Shittu to be a hit with fans at Reebok
Bolton manager Gary Megson has completed the signing of defender Danny Shittu from Watford for a fee believed to be in the region of £2million.

The Nigeria international has secured a move to the Reebok Stadium following the collapse of his switch to Rangers.

Watford accepted an offer from the Old Firm giants last month, but Shittu was unable to settle on personal terms with the Gers.

Shittu has managed to agree a three-year contract with Bolton and is contracted to Wanderers until 2011.

The centre-half becomes Megson's fourth signing of the summer, following on from Johan Elmander, Riga Mustapha and Fabrice Muamba

He will now travel to Greece to meet up with his new team-mates and will add competition to Megson's defence, with doubts surrounding the future of Abdoulaye Meite.

Shittu made 75 appearances for Watford since moving to Vicarage Road two years ago from Queens Park Rangers.

he keeps signing Championship quality players, and if you sign enough of them, that's what you become. Bye, bye bolton, and good riddance.

Megson Mourinho, first for the chop.
