In the light of Pissheads new book and his thoughts on Gerrard not being a top player, just wondered what everyone elses thoughts was on this.

I think it would be hard to argue against it. Yes he has been a big fish in a small pond for most if not all of his career but he has performed consistently for a long time now. I would certainly have had him at city

I take it you're talking about taggart's book? I couldn't care less what he has to say but I am happy to enter the discussion on Gerrard

Interesting that in 2004 Ferguson had this to say on Gerrard.....

Ferguson labelled Gerrard “the most influential player in England, bar none” and said “anyone would love to have him in their team”.

It would have been nice to have him go somewhere else and test himself.

Won everything but the PL domestically.

I think you'll find Ssssss'ralex said he wasn't a "top, top player". I don't think anyone would argue he's not a top player.

The bin dippers would've been tragic without gerrard tbf, very good player barring his stevie starfish diving.

Used to be a game changing player, that game against olympiakos and the cup final against wham springs to mind.
World class in his prime but a little too injury prone IMO.

Ferguson also says in his book that they should have been 4-0 up at half time in the 6-1

hes full of shit and a liar...

he says that the scousers is the big match, the one he has to win..Except for us..the 6-1 must have killed him inside..he may act like it never bothered him, but it ALWAYS has..
And if we don't matter, then when we ripped and tore the soul from them when we won the title, he would have quit then, but he had to have another year to get it back from the noisy neighbors...

Hes a walking contradiction and a cock..

And stevie G is from liverpool..enough said..

oh and fuckoff taggart and stay fucked off, some of us don't give a feck what you have said done or anything inbetween. :obscene-birdiered:
