Nah it's too early to say. There's plenty of time left. Three wins would put them eleventh and only behind eight on goal difference. That's a bit stupid cos they've lost a lot etc and obv other teams would play three games in that time, but it'd get them well off bottom.

I don't even think they've been that bad, Hull are more certain for me, especially given that Pompey will spend in january

Yeah the takeover seems unconvincing. They managed to sign like 8 players on deadline day though, so there must be moohlah somewhere

Apparently they bought three players, spent 2m on TBH, 3m on Mike Williamson and made some loan deal permanant on a DM. That must've cost too.

You have to take into account the fact there must've been money somewhere 'cos they've been selling non stop for about 18 months so god knows

hmmm... they had made a shitload on sales from the players, so that could have freed up the necessary money to make those signings. which is worrying in itself, if all that incoming transer fee money and wage bill cuts was swallowed up and left £10m for replacements.
