Not really. The first one was a yellow card offense that if it had have been given as a red, would have been a harsh one, but wouldn't get masses of complaint post-match. The second one was no more than a yellow.

i was just wondering, given the new fa instruction that only the captain can approach the ref, how many captains did they actually have on saturday?

Any more than three and a team get's reprimanded I believe. They'll probably get a fine, probably not a big one.
