Just signed on Alan Pardew as manager. A smart appointment I reckon, no nonsense and always worked with no money for signings. I hope he does save them.

I dont mind Southampton, honest enough club, good support, great stadium and history, I really hope they can get saved from financial ruin and get promoted once again. They also hate Portsmouth which goes a long way with me. Were I an extremely rich individual with no pre-existing allegiance to an English club I think The Saints would be an attractive investment/toy.

No liking or disliking for either Southampton or Portsmouth.

I wouldn't have wanted them to go bust but they can stay in League One for the rest of their history for me. Makes no difference.

Alan Pardew though I think will bring them up (maybe not this year with the points deduction). Has their new owner given them any money to spend?
