class is permanent, form is temporary. it also cuts both ways.
but then crouch was always undoubtedly better than benjani. dunno. undecided on whether we should make a shirt big enough for him.

We ended up with Benjani because Svennis was having a memntary lapse of reason. Benjani had had one OKish season. Crouch has scored at every club he's been at when he's been given the chance. His Champions League record for Liverpool would suggest he has more than enough ability imo.

but would he be good enough for us, considering we should be looking at people like villa and aguero? wouldn't signing crouch, who is a reasonably good top class striker, rahter than an excellent striker like, say, torres, be a bit of a stagnation...

Benji scored 5 in that game where Reading were defending like a pub team and ended up conceeding 8, which shot him to the top of the scoring charts and wrongly gave the impression he was a goal scoring machine for a bit. Never should've signed him.

cheers benny

bastard is right - Crouch as been a scorer of goals - at the end of the day he's a striker, I don't care if he does look like a twat and runs like a girl, he can do his job

Crouch and Kevin Davies have both scored 11 league goals this season. Perhaps we should buy them to get into the top four?

By the way, i think Davies is decent and would much prefer him to Crouch.

Unstickied because

1) I can and i wanted to do something
2) A ten month old thread about Peter Crouch no longer seems relevant.

Crouch ftw though.
