don't envy any manager going into chelsea. 6 months has got to be the shortest time taken to get a manager of obvious quality sacked...

Terry hints at divided Blues camp - from BBC

Terry has seen several managers come and go at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea captain John Terry has hinted at a divided Stamford Bridge dressing room and revealed his shock at the sacking of manager Luiz Felipe Scolari.

"He had my full support. I'm sure two or three of the other players would say the same," said the centre-half.

"I was shocked by what's happened. I have sympathy for Scolari. He's a great man but we weren't playing well and that unfortunately falls on his head.

"Maybe it should have fallen more on us the players," added Terry.

Chelsea have taken just eight points from their last six Premier League games and have fallen to fourth place in the league.

"At end of the day it's all about results, and unfortunately for Scolari they didn't come," added Terry.

Russia coach Guus Hiddink is expected to take over from Scolari but Terry admitted that he was glad to have the distraction of playing for England as Chelsea decide on their next manager.

England are in Spain to play a friendly against the Euro 2008 champions at Seville's Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium on Wednesday.

"What's happening back home is at the back of my mind but I am focusing on the game ahead," said Terry.

"It is a bit of a relief to get away for a couple of days because my main concern should now be England.

"The manager [Fabio Capello] has stressed he wants everyone focused on the game ahead. I want to put in a good performance personally and hopefully the squad can do the same."

Chelsea agreed a compensation package with Scolari and his backroom staff, the club confirmed on Tuesday evening.

Although no details were given, some reports have suggested Scolari could walk away with about £7.5m.
