I turned down a ticket to watch Utd v Spurs tomorrow, offered by a rag friend " to make up for this week's disappointment". I pointed out that I had nothing to be disappointed about and also that I am banned from OT.

I feel noble.

My Ban was imposed by my Dad.

I have been twice in my life, once pre Munich to see the Busby Babes v England All stars ( Matthews Finney Lofthouse Wright Frank Swift etc) when my Dad said I could go but only to watch England and not United. He refused to go.The other time I played there in a PE colleges competition and my Dad refused to come and watch , although he travelled to Sheffield, West Brom and Cardiff.

You did the right thing.

I've been offered free exec tickets to watch ManUre in the Chumps League before, my response was "I'm cutting my toenails tonight".

I've been offered the chance to watch united in one of those executive boxes and have a meal and everything, by my mate who uses it for work to take customers there. naturally i politely turned him down, claiming that i'd rather gnaw my own feet off.

I haven't been for years. Last time I went was a 0-0 draw in the CL, the match where Keane did his prawn sandwich rant afterwards because of booing fans. Not that I was booing of course..............

I'd have taken the tickets then spent the entire match facing away from the pitch getting bevvied, maybe doodling obscene pictures of Ferguson and Beckham consumating their turbulent relationship.

Last time I went to OT it was to watch in the hope that the rags would beat Luton. OT was half empty. The rags won so we only needed a draw against Luton to stay up. That went well then.
