There was a piece today about a minor league player being sent off after three seconds for a wild tackle. I also remember being at a game where Vinny Jones got sent off for two yellow cards after about a minute.

But the reason I posted this was because the article went on to say that the fastest recorded sending off (non pro) was 2 seconds. Apparently the ref blew for the game to kick off, the striker said 'fuck me, ref, that was loud' and was promptly sent off for foul and abusive language.

It made me lol a lot.

That ref sounds like a fun bloke, bet he's a laugh to have a pint with

Prolly the same guy who sent Gazza off for picking up his red card and showing it to him.
