Good and bad news...
The good news is that Suarez is out for 4 months but hat's already been posted
The bad
Kun Aguero with a slight hamstring tear. Probably out for the rest of the world cup though it's not official as yet.

compare it to other bans and he got off lightly:

Rio Ferdinand misses drugs test (but passes one next day) - 8 months. Keegan and Bremner square up to one another (no biting there) - 11 matches. Cantona kicks out at an abusive fan and gets a justified 9 months. Suarez bites for the THIRD time (apart from his racism) and gets a paltry 4. Pathetic FIFA.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

the guy isnt right in his head. also have to say that the players he has bitten have shown restraint. well done to them.
i bet there are many others who would not have reacted so well following such an incident.

Agree, also, why is biting someone not a criminal offence when it happens on a football pitch?

Suarezs Nan has said he has been treated like a dog.

Made me chuckle that.

Quote:
"This is a human being who is clearly one of the best footballers in the world but he has this trait in his character which is so abnormal that needs looking at," PFA chief executive Gordon Taylor told BBC Sport.

"We thought we'd got him back on track."

Taylor also felt Suarez's punishment would have major ramifications for players who regularly play international football.

"It's going to increase that tension between club and country," he said.

He argued clubs would think twice about allowing their players to feature for their country if they could suffer punishments on international duty that could impact on their involvement in their domestic leagues.

What a load of bollocks that is. Just don't bite anyone when you go away to play internationals! It's not something that's going to affect any reasonably sane player.

I was wanting Argentina to win this but I've just been watching Fernandinho's mini-docu on the OS.

Now I'm torn Fernandinho or Zabaleta? :(

Gordon Taylor. Another one of those sitting comfortably alongside the likes of Dyke, Platini, Blatter.
With self-interested people like that running a sport that is supposed to be for everyone , no wonder football has problems.

Totes. "thought we'd got him back on track". What an pathetically transparent attempt to justify the PFA's existence.

I'm still having trouble believing that suarez literally bit a man on a football pitch for a third fucking time. This World Cup is the best
