Poland have some slight level of threat, the Ukraine have beaten us before. Neither should really offer many problems but this IS England we're talking about.

Montenegro have Stefan Savić, who is clearly decent (because he's ours). Simon Vukčević from Porto is meant to be Ok aswell. Then there is Mirko Vučinić. In all fairness we should smash them but this IS England we're talking about.

Yeah but we don't have to be shite. If Capello would play people in their fucking positions.

Can't believe the media, Capello is getting totally blasted for turning up at the draw, just as he won't be manager when it comes round, He'd have got blasted if he hadn't turned up either i imagine, they'd probably say he has a right as current England manager to attend.

When English players do not look afraid when lining up for the anthem...when their body language suggests they are a team and not a collection of disparate individuals about to enter the maelstrom of a press which is motivated more by failure than success then I might take more notice of the World Cup Draw.

Yet half of them are more than happy to splash their wedding pics accross the front page of O.K magazine when it suits them. Theres lot's wrong with English football to be fair.

The english football team are dead to me, the last time I was interested was when Shrek got sent off for being a scouse thug and stamping on some greasy's nuts. Never again.
It's impossible for me to cheer a team with Terry, Plug and Shrek in it tbf.
Don't we draw Poland and Ukraine a lot though?

Poland put us out of the qualifiers in '74 - despite the best efforts of
Colin Bell. They do seem to pop up regularly and always present a real challenge.

Course, I'll get 'into' it when it draws near but history tells me not to get too excited...I actually thought we were in with a chance in South Africa.
What little I know.

Best result in Rio though will be 'NO VUVUZELAS'

~ did my head in !

Yeah the Vuvuzelas were pretty annoying on TV so i can't imagine what it was like at the matches.

Before South Africa i was so excited, I honestly thought we could do well. Once I saw the teams we were putting out I knew it was over. Capello gets all this hype about being hardline and strict but he doesn't have the balls to do anything different. He pidgeon holes players into positions purely based on their popularity and fame with zero regard to how the team will work. We need a manager with the guts to say to guys like Lampard, Gerrard, Terry and Rio that they won't play unless it suits the team. People go on about how you can't use Gerrard and Lampard in the same team. So don't. Put one or both on the bench, any other team would do that. I was horrified to see Gerrard on left midfield during the world cup, when you consider the wealth of talent we have for that position.

Unfortunetly i think our traditionism is what holds us back. Maybe using some more unorthodox foreign managers will help, i don't know.

couldn't give a fuck.

as the retirement of the wereduck and the chelsea managers approaches i may become more interested. the team will still have shrek in it though. maybe as the proportion of city players goes up it'll feel more like watching a team i give a toss about.
