It was clear that we could not lose.
The Messiah has returned.
*How many players in the world could have scored a wonder header like that?

*Millions

That was quite funny by Gerrard;

"Describe Wayne Rooney's goal"
"Tap in."

INJURED ASHLEY YOUNG THE BIG WORRY

ENGLAND will be keeping their fingers crossed over Ashley Young’s fitness as preparations for their showdown with Italy intensify.

Young limped away from Tuesday’s win against Ukraine in obvious discomfort after being caught by Andriy Shevchenko.

Manchester United’s Young is “hopeful” of making a full recovery in time for the quarterfinal in Kiev, but it remains to be seen whether he will train at England’s Hutnik base today.

Striker Shevchenko was booked for the challenge, which left Young with heavy bruising to a shin and the forward is the squad’s biggest worry as boss Roy Hodgson begins making his plans for Sunday.
--------------------------------------------------
Big worrry? He has been ineffectual.
So is the latest excuse for getting Downing on the pitch?
Could Downing do any worse?

Yes. Gerrard was deftly popping the balloon of whatever shit interviewer was trying to get him to build it up into something it wasn't.

I don't know what to make of the fact that england could actually progress again in the euros with a decidedly ordinary squad.

How did that front line ever keep up with City?
From what i have seen, Rooney, Welbeck & Young - dreadful.
Rooney again shows what a risk he is with a few petulant kicks at the opposition.

Can't believe young is still on and Milner is off. Rooney is awful and I didn't realise Walcott had come on.

exactly. the yernited trio have been dreadful.
Walcott has hardly done anything.
Rooney seems to think he is "it".

Gerrard has been great.

But can anyone explain Scott Parker? What is the pont?

I have to say, though it pains me to do so, that Terry has played really well in all the games.

i have to agree, Bert.
but the Unted trio have been poor.
Has Young done anything right in the 4 games he has appeared in?
