If you can't beat teams such as USA and Algeria then there is something seriously wrong with the manager's ways.

I think I could have managed us and there would have been no difference.

Maybe someone like Roy Hodgson is better adapted for the England job.

I think he did the exact opposite, fell for the whole "England win when Heskey plays" bullshit and ignored the fact that he's not good enough to play in a Championship side any more. Also got found out for not applying his claim that he would only pick players who were in form for their club side - Upson instead of Dawson? Playing SWP and not even taking AJ? Would've been far better off just playing the best players.

The guy isn't a fantastic manager, he's a clown. I might buy into the whole 'it was entirely the player's fault' more if he hadn't made so many fuck ups that were glaringly obvious to everyone in the country apart from him. What was it Squidge said before it all started? Something like he was the only reason we might have a chance of winning the World Cup.. Well we played 4 games and put in 4 shit performances, clocking up our biggest WC defeat in the process, and I reckon Capello has to take a lion's share of the blame.

Failed international manager, great club manager.

I trust history outside of this country will judge him as a great.

It's only four competitive games since he was some kind of new messiah.

ftr - capello is a great manager who was let down (and, in at least one case, actively undermined) by a bunch of selfish bastards. Hemade mistakes but i cannot abide watching the spineless bastards that get free holidays every two years with the england squad escape punishment
