Wasn't gonna do this till later on but I'm feeling in a WC mood today, and you can make unlimited changes up to 11th June so I thought I might as well.

There are a few free online dream teams but this one looks really good - http://fantasyfootball.metro.co.uk/#mfwc-top-page (Sky do one but they don't have a budget which is a bit gash). This Metro one dishes out scores based on OPTA stats during the game, so it's not just the usual points for clean sheets, goals and assists, and scores and leaderboards are updated daily.

Basically £100m to spend on 15 players (although only those in the first 11 score points), and you can make up to 20 changes over the course of the tournament. Here are the full rules http://fantasyfootball.metro.co.uk/worldcup/how-to-play/#mfwc-top-page. Be cool if we can get a few people on there:

League - Man City Forum

This is my team atm

Player Name Country Value

Lloris, H France £4.6m

Di Maria, A Argentina £8.2m
Hamsik, M Slovakia £6.3m
Krasic, M Serbia £6.2m

Current Subs

Goalkeeper Wiese, T Germany £4.3m
Defender Otamendi, N Argentina £4.9m

It says it's only open to UK residents, but you only have to put in some bullshit UK address..

Done.

Maicon-Lucio-Bastos-Capdevilia

---Kaka---Xavi-Schweinsteiger

-----Messi--Villa--Torres------

My bench is full of the cheapest in each position though.

Yeah, I'm not quite sure why I've got a £8.4m striker on the bench...

I nearly went for Nilmar. Reckon he could have a big World Cup.

Buffon

Lahm - Lucio - Cannavaro - Cole

Sneijder - Xavi - Milner

Villa - Rooney (c) - Donovan

Subs: Howard, Azpilicueta, Veloso, Ozil

I like my team, even the subs. I fancy Ozil to be the young player of the tournament (if there is such an award).

Haven't read the rules so not sure my team will do well but it's a team I'd like to see play together.

-----Xavi-----Di Maria-----Silva-----
-----Messi------Villa-----Tevez-----

I've picked a team... best not reveal it until after the tourney kicks off... I know Darlo rode my wave on the Predictions Thread all through the season...

Gutiérrez got into the squad but Cambiasso didn't. Maradona must be back on the coke.

Their loss. Our gain.

If we do play the Argie's which is a possibility I think, it will be a whole lot easier without Cambiasso not playing, and Gutiérrez playing.

Gutierrez generally does well when he plays for Argentina and people aren't really too shocked about his inclusion. He's been in the Argentina squad for quite a while. The likes of Palermo (is that the right name? the old, slow, striker) are far more concerning for Argentina in my opinion.

Unfortunately he had to include Palermo. He pretty much scored the goal that got them into the world cup... more or less.

There was an article published a few days ago about 'why Maradona is an idiot'. Part of the reasons were that he did not include European champion and one of the best DM in the world today, Cambiasso, did not include the most stable right wingers in the history of football, Zanetti and included Ariel Garce instead, a player that has only one cap to his name...which he got in a charity match vs. Haiti.

Nice, 8 of us on there already.

Don't forget to do that predictions game, we can compare scores in the mini league at the end.
