From the ones I've seen Bert, this was a bit shit really wasn't it? Ahhh well, moments of brilliance but that's about it.

Also, for the record shimmer, David Villa is one of the least cheating players I've ever seen, he doesn't whinge about anything, just gets on with playing outstanding football.

Can't believe some of the reaction. So Holland did a few fouls... get over it.

I hate Busquets, he was up in Howard Webbs grill all the time last night and he goes down like a sack of spuds if anyone flicks him.
Deserved victory though.

More like attempted open heart surgery without benefit of anaesthetic.

Agreed Timps,

Spanish players in general go down quicker than an Amsterdam whore, however in the defence of Ineista, Van Bommel went straight through the back of him after 10 minutes. Nigel deserved a red im sorry to say and Van Bommel was lucky not to get one also.

You cant blame Webb for decisions, imagine what a let down it would have turned into if he sent Nigel off after 30 mins or so!

Having said that, I cant remember a decent final since Mexico 1986 perhaps, maybe France in 1998? Its like the FA cup final, always a big final let down.

Spain were worthy winners though and Barca made great business signing Villa before the world cup, what a great player!

Bloody glad Spain won that final they were the only team playing any football. Strangely enough I wanted Holland to win at kick-off, but after 20 minutes of the Dutch anti-football I had a change of heart (and Alonso almost needed one too thanks to De Jong, lets hope that is out of his system).

I'm very disappointed to see the Dutch blaming Webb, I didn't think he was too bad in what was a very difficult game to ref. In particular Kuyt can do one, sour grapes doesn't even begin to sum up his reaction.

Yeah but let it go. No need to have a whinge after the fact. Nige apologised so it should be the end of it.

Alonso has every right to have a go - professional footballers owe a duty of care to eachother, and that means not making challenges where your studs are up higher than your head... You can tell from the replays he didn't have his eye on the ball the whole time and could've backed out if he wanted to. It was all part of the Dutch gameplan. Bad form from Nige.
