Germany v Turkey. :D
Özil could get a hammering when Germany plays the return fixture. The Turks weren't too chuffed by his decision.

Blimey. I knew Japan were good but wtf? Carlos do anything?

I just watched Germany 3 Turkey 0, at times Germany are awesome. No sign of our man, though. I'm not sure he even made the bench, presumably carrying an injury.

Good result for Belgium too, even though VK couldn't play. I still think (hope) Belgium can swing second place in this group by beating Turkey in Brussels in June.

Sadly, Nigel-less Holland got a result. I really want to see them fall flat on their faces cos of this, maybe Tues against the Chefs.

Just caught a bit on TS that Lescott will partner Rio tomorrow the latter remaining as captain. Rooney and crouch up front, With Bent the latest player pulling out with an injury.

I wonder if Kevin Davies will play up front. If he plays for England, you might as well bring Carlton Palmer back, and John Salako.

I don't know, against the poorer teams he could be a bit of a handful, he's a slightly better version of Heskey IMO.

it's clutching at straws though, because we haven't got anyone else.

Why can't he give a game to younger players like Agbonlahor. Kevin Davies is going to be 35 by the time the finals comes around, and IMO he wasn't international class when he was 25.
