Stadia to be put forward;

Sunderland's Stadium of Light, (what's it like? Looks good)
Birmingham's Villa Park,
the new Nottingham Forest stadium, (anyone...?)
Elland Road in Leeds, (isn't it a shit hole?)
Sheffield's Hillsborough stadium, (old?)
St James' Park in Newcastle,
new Ashton Vale stadium in Bristol, (no idea...?)
Plymouth's Home Park, (so far from anywhere this is dumb)
Old Trafford
City of Manchester Stadium. :D

Elland Rd's usually a good shout - Leeds is full of hotels and history/culture and stuff. Next to the motorway too.

COMS would never get in ahead of OT would it? Unless FIFA were maybe worried about empty seats at some games.

Milton Keynes has also been "moved to the next round of selection". Weird.

Just seen some FA bloke saying Liverpool FC's proposed new stadium got in but Goodison didn't. Good luck paying for a new stadium scousers:D

MK have planning and cash to upgrade to a 40,000 apparently, my missus is from there, it's a dive.

MK has no character whatsoever. City that is, ground I have no idea.

Scousers need to get over themselves and groundshare.

If we were to get the 2018 WC, how many of those grounds would be used?

Safrica is using 9. I havent included Wembley, Emirates or new Spurs. I doubt we would get in at all if they want to spread it out.

They'll be using COMS as the training ground.

Also Prenton Park and Goodison as training grounds and Anfield as the main stadium

Interstingly (or not), I heard the other day that Manchester will actually open the 2012 Olympics as the footy kicks off at OT before the opening ceremony in London.

Its a shame... because I think COMS looks a lot better then OT.
But wasnt the owners in talks about a expansion capable of seating around 60 000 people.

Being a crap ground was no hindrance last time.
Ayresome Park and Roker were both used.
