I'm goingto Croke Park shortly. I hope we beat the bastards.

The first footy match I everwent to was ROI v France in 1981. We beat them 3-2. Brady ran Platini off the pitch. I hope we turn fuckers over again.

Ireland is basically fucked. Fucking arse deflected goal. Typical. Luck of the Irish? Fuck off.

I'm not writing it off completely. It was quite an even game last night. Ireland are more than capable of getting a goal in Paris on Wednesday. Just need a bit of luck and Given to play the game of his life. Easy

Ireland have been useful away from home this qualifying campaign - still too much of an uphill challenge though methinks.

1987 - The last time Ireland beat a higher ranked opponent away from home.

:(

I thought we played well but have gone as far as we can. The French support was shit. We'll outnumber them in Paris next week.

Second leg in Paris will take place tonight. At the moment it stands ROI 0-1 France. There will be about 25-30,000 Irish in Paris. They brought over 4,000 to Dublin last Saturday. They returned about 1,000 tickets which were bought up by the home fans in minutes.

There was a fight at the final whistle when Diarra called Andrews an "Irish Prick". Dunnie got stuck in.

I hope we turn the fuckers over.

The French TV station wanted €1.5m for the game. Sky and RTE (Irish state tv) expected to pay €600K - the normal rate for this sort of game. The stand off was resolved with RTE yesterday but they didn't disclose the amount they paid. It looks like Sky have passed up on this. It may be on RTE's website as well but this may only be available in Ireland.

Good job really. I've invited people round to watch it. Didn't even occur to me that it might not be on Sky.
