So Capello names his 30 man squad today, with rumours it could be 31 with the inclusion of Hargreaves.

Who i think the 30 will be....

Goalkeepers, Hart, Green, James, Robinson

Defenders Ferdinand, Terry, Carragher, Dawson, King, G.Johnson, A.Cole. Jagielka, P.Neville, Warnock, Baines.

Midfielders Lampard, Gerrard, A.Johnson, J.Cole, Lennon, Wright-Phillips, Huddlestone, Carrick, Milner, Parker

Strikers Rooney, Crouch, C.Cole, Defoe, D.Bent.

Taking into account that there are still some doubtful/Injured players in there, that was pretty difficult.

swap heskey for cole and this is pretty much it, those highlighted will be going, it's a 23 man squad isn't it?

I thought it was going to 23 after the friendlies (once he's had a look at Johnno).

I thought I read somewhere this morning that AJ was 'set to miss out' and Parker may now be in after Barry's injury.

In my humble opinion as far as city players go in the 23

A.Johnson - He for me is a must for the 23, he could be the unknown entity that could come on as sub and unlock tired defences, a better bet than the very out of form and unlucky SWP

G.Barry - If he is fit and capello has assurances of his fitness, Barry is a must, Capello has started Barry in every match but one and is perfect for the England team

There's one standout candidate that you seem to be ignoring, Joe Hart.

Fantastic seeing AJ make the team, I really hope he makes the cut. Doubt SWP will tho. We're a bit fucked if (possibly when) Glen Johnson gets injured, Carragher's bearly a centre back anymore IMO, yet alone a right back...

Dawson has had a really good season, he will be in the squad for sure. Carragher has seen his best days so kick him out of there.

Pretty much agree, but if he is picking on form and performance Parker should go ahead of Carrick, he isn't even being picked at the moment.

Ha!

Paul Scholes is on the verge of an incredible return to international football, with Fabio Capello ready to name him in England's 30-man World Cup squad.

I think these will be the 23....i dont think walcott has convinced capello at all and just shaves it in front of shaun

On Standy - SWP & Parker

Capello at the third time of asking Carragher to return to the England squad Carragher agreed to.

Making a point on TS that they can't see Capello dropping Carragher from the 30 having persuaded him to rejoin the team.

So literally all of the newspaper stories were wrong then? Barry out, Hargreaves to come back, and Joe Cole out?
