What are we thinking about our chances next summer? This football blogger thinks England can win the World Cup, but it does depend on a number of things.

Two name only a couple it is vital that... 1) Wayne Rooney is fit, 2) We continue the momentum picked up in recent months.

We CAN win it, but WILL we win it? Not 100% convinced at the moment, it seems too good to be true!

I'd rather City finish 4th than England win the world cup.

In fact, i'd rather City win the derby than England win the world cup i think.

Nay. Thou shalt not abbreviate the lord's name. It shall be named "The Land of our Lord, Giles, Voice of City Fans".

We haven't really been tested against a top side with our best players fit yet.

I think Spain will win it.

If a european team win, it will be spain, if not, brazil. that's how it works.

What's everyone think of this Sin bin idea for the WC for players who dive to try and gain an advantage. I personally think that if the ref knows a player has dived or the assistants can help him out then i'd send the player off straight away.

I agree with you.

I agree with what Durham was saying on talksport this evening...everybody criticises FIFA and when they finally come up with an idea to stamp out diving suddenly they get a load of stick.

Fair play for coming up with the idea, at least it's a positive step and gets people talking. However, the sin bin is not for me.

To be honest, if Rooney scored the winning goal in the world cup final, then I think the headline would be fairly adequate. He's the top scorer in WC qualifying in Europe, and unfortunately that warrants a bit of media praise.

Germany will no doubt look sh*t up until the event, then get to the final. They like to do that. Holland, and to a lesser extent Spain, on the other hand tend to look sh*t hot right until the big occasion where they just f*ck up royally.

I recall the day I put that money on italy, all the smirks my class mates gave me, "too old" they said, "no pace" they cried.
