Apparently Hart has replaced an injured Ben Foster in the squad. Does anyone know anything about this?

Yes. It's true. Foster got injured in the FACS final. Hart is in.

There are no semi's for the community shield, unless you count what the united fans got in the 92nd minute.

They don't really pull them from nowhere. They might splash 10m on one of these unknowns

Think you missed my sarcasm, I'm not sure the Community Shield is a final. Though it is the traditional curtain raiser to the english football season.

In a way, the entire Premier League season 08/09 was a semi final, ditto the FA Cup.

The Community Shield

Don't they have second place in the Premier League against the FA Cup winner, then first in the PL vs FA Cup runner up, then the winners of those two "semis" meet in the Community Shield "final". They definitely used to, when it was for "Charity" instead of "Community".

Was that not because they wanted England's top teams to play each other more often so they would be more experienced, when English teams weren't allowed in Europe?

Read something like that today. Don't know if it's bollocks
