Since Ireland doesn't play for Ireland anymore is there no way we can register him as an England player???? He's better than Gerrard and Lampard put together.

He can't play for a senior national team(England) once he already played for a different senior team(Ireland). He is stuck with Ireland.

But you can still play for a different National team even if you already played U-17, U-21 or U-15 and so on. Tons of Brazilians do that, most likely hundreds.

Not content with constantly using outdated footballing terminology, I noticed David Pleat has started throwing in cricket references to his commentary now - apparantley Frank Lampard played a pass "backward of square" earlier...

Nice to see, Dunnie scored for Ireland, and Barry for England.

Anyway, he's from Cork first, Ireland second.

its only a matter of time before stevies back in green. he said he wants to become a city legend, he can and he become an ireland legend too. he is better than anyone in the jersey at the moment.

Yeah he's better but I'm not sure he'd fit into Trap's XI (despite what Trap says). Certainly not as a CM anyway.

I think the ship has sailed for Ireland to come back in this campaign. Hopefully he comes back for the Euro 2012 qualifiers.
