True. Shocking defending. Amazes me how for some time many have raved about Lahm, whilst I have been saying that he isn't much of a defender. Well, it's caught up on him now and Germany. However, last night, they offered nothing as a team.
Spain have been consistent throughout this tournament and fully deserved the win.

Disagree Frank, we are talking about Torres here, in a duel someone has to win, Torres a handfull to say the least. Torres was all over Lahm.

Hintzelberger had an awful game though, agreed.

Spain deserved it. Isn't Ballack having a bad 3 or 4 years?

With 3 English mates last night and we were discussing which English player would get a shirt in the Spanish side. We thought Gerrard might do, Terry maybe? but other than that there are no better players positionally than Spain.

There is a deep chasm right now between where England are and should be if they want to start being a top 10 international side.

Torres is a very powerfull player, Lahm had no chance so im with you Danny. Spain just passed around Germany making them look awful. Massive respect to Arogones for making spain do what they did best which was passing in triangles with speed and procision. The movement was outstanding, amazing what can be acheived by doing this.

And when Bert and Cloudy ran by, someone in the crowd was heard to say "whose making popcorn?"

I still have to disagree. Lahm's strength is going forward. Put a speedy bigger guy against him and he hasn't a hope. is strength is in going forward.
Ballack has been below par for some time. Bayern did well in shifting him when they did.

Aragones said to Jose Antonio Reyes while speaking of Thierry Henry; 'you're better than that black shit'.

I like Croatia, but I like Turkey more, so that was a brilliant turnaround.
