I love City.

I can't cheer on the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Wes Brown and Michael Carrick.

Any player in the country should be proud to represent his country, thus must put his country (which is permanent) in front of his club (which tends to be temporary).

Unless he happens toplay for Man City, they must always put the club first. :D

Nah, personally for me, it's definitely Country first. Playing for your country should be an honour, and the goal of all top professionals. Putting club first is putting money before pride, and those guys should be shot.

EDIT: I thought we were talking players and not fans.

For me, it's always my club. I love England but the recent tide of tossers who couldn't give a monkeys about playing has worn me down to the extent where I won't even watch them unless it's a competetive game. This from a man who followed them all over the world too.

City are usually a shower of shite, but I still love them. To me, City personify the Mancunian spirit and I enjoy the support more than I do of England.

I've always been Club first, because that is week to week, day to day. Country is only every now and again. Your club is like family. Country is like some distant relatives that you might see every now and again.

Most would feel this way. The Germans were trying to build this game up a bit over here. I think the Germans see this game as an important game more than most English people will.

Germans aren't great right now. We managed to draw 1-1 with them during the last days of Stan the Gaffer.

The Germans appear to be more for their country than club. What about you, Slart?

May as well support the proper Paddies then.

More club than country. I find there are a lot of fair weather fans at ROI games. It is not uncommon for the fans to do the Mexican Wave. During the match. Can you believe it? It wouldn't happen at COMS.

I always support my country though - even though the FAI si run by twats who hired twats to manage the team. Brian Kerr and Stan the Gaffer made McClown look like Wenger.
