It's been a busy weekend of international football, so here is mcfc.co.uk's round-up of the action concerning City's players.
Israel versus Switzerland finished 2-2 in the Ramat Gan Stadium, with Tal Ben Haim playing the full 90 minutes for the hosts - but Gelson Fernandes' services were not called upon and he remained on the bench.
Vincent Kompany was also in action, staying on for all of Belgium's 3-2 win over Estonia in Liege. Richard Dunne was at the heart of the Republic of Ireland's fine 2-1 win over Georgia in Mainz, but young Ryan McGivern was not used as Northern Ireland went down 1-0 to Slovakia in Bratislava.
Ched Evans was a second half substitute as Wales ground out a narrow 1-0 victory over Azerbaijan in Cardiff. Joe Hart had little to do as England's Under 21s beat Portugal at Wembley, while Vladimir Weiss made his mark for Slovakia's Under 21s, grabbing their equaliser against Belgium on Friday night.
Looking further afield, new signing Pablo Zabaleta was on the bench for Argentina's 1-1 draw with Paraguay but Felipe Caicedo had a night to remember in Quito, hammering in the opening goal of Ecuador's 3-1 win over Bolivia.
Sunday night sees Brazil take Chile in Santiago, with Robinho, Jo and Elano set to be involved.
Fernandes dropped. I can see why, he looks tired! Zabaleta i thought would play, who took his position? The rest done well including Weiss who will be the next product to fight with SWP.
