My mind is being exercised by the Ferdinand and England Business.

I was a PE teacher and I know that by the time I was 35 my body was complaining. I did not train with the intensity of a professional footballer but my exercise was pretty constant as I was not one of those teachers who spent time at the side shouting but I was generally involved in the activity plus playing for a team at the weekend etc.
These days with the scientific and medical facilities available to him Ferdinand and utd can micro manage his training and injuries which is fair enough, but equally if their ability is so good they could micro manage an occasional run out for England as well.
I suspect the hand of you know who in this and, to be fair, his job is to put Utd first but I know I am preaching to the converted here when I say that I, and most of you, would crawl on our knees on broken glass to Wembley or wherever for half a chance of playing for England.
The other problem is of course that the FA don't like to upset you know who and Woy is too nice a chap to shout about it.

It's like it was orchestrated by the duck himself so that he could have the last word. All the kerfuffle about a recall only to pull out of the squad? Ridiculous.

As for the Neviller, I think he has misunderstood the meaning of feared:

Quote:
GARY NEVILLE reckons England’s strikeforce is the envy of a host of countries across the globe.

The Three Lions are arguably less potent up front than they used to be, with Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney the only world-class forward in many people’s eyes.

But England coach Neville has launched a staunch defence of the attacking talent available to boss Roy Hodgson, saying most teams would love the likes of Andy Carroll in their side.

Neville said: “People always talk of a lack everything with England. Lack of this, lack of that, not enough this, not enough that.

“The reality is there are good forwards, the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Danny Welbeck, Rooney, Jermaine Defoe and Carroll.

Also, in fairness to Rio, he isn't the sharpest penis in the dildae store.

the ferdinand thing does seem a weird one tbf, and the reason for him pulling out could be an unwillingness to train and play alongside cole and terry just as much as it could be the hand of bacon nose.

Can't think of any reason why not.

Got 22 caps to his name to date and deserves to add to that IMO.
