Just found out I won the auction to play alongside the city legends on Friday night.

Not all legends that's for sure but does include Andy Morrison, Asa Hartford, Ian Brightwell and Nicky Summerbee!

Ian Brightwell is a stone cold City legend.

Nicky Summerbee didn't get the credit he deserved. Probably had too much to live up to.

That with be cracking for sure.

Yeah, got to make a £200 donation to Sport relief. But I suppose it is a good cause. I will be very nervous.

my dad's comment about nicky -

"runs like his dad, shame he doesn't play like him"

Good night Friday,

No Andy Morrison or Nicky Summerbee but Jeff whitley and Richard Edghill played.... They don't look any different. Nigel Gleghorn is a top bloke. We won 3.2 and I scored. :-D About 200 people watching. All the players took the game very seriously certainly no messing about.

My mate took some pictures and apparently he managed to get my goal on camera. If it is any good and somehow makes me look like I know what I am doing then I might post it on here.

Still plenty to be done there.

Looks like you were lucky not to have your standing foot taken off at the ankle too. Who's the silver-haired hatchet man?

Nice one OT. Shame that a few didn't turn up. Who else was there other than tricky Ricky and Jeff?

Nigel Gleghorn and Asa Hartford, most the others had just played occasionally unless I didn't realise who they were. I wasn't formerly introduced to them all which is a bit shit IMO. Gareth Taylor played for them, Scott Sellars played and Tommy Booth and Joe Corrigan were there watching. About 200-300 watching so not a bad turnout, they had to pay to get in.

Brilliant, what a prize and a great lesson in how to make the most of it.
