Rio Ferdinand will decide this week whether to shake John Terry’s hand on Sunday when Manchester United visit Stamford Bridge, or subject the England captain to a second embarrassing snub in successive weekends.

The pre-match Respect parade was abandoned by the FA on Saturday when Queens Park Rangers players refused to shake Terry’s hand and the Chelsea captain could face a potentially more damaging situation before next weekend’s Barclays Premier League showdown.

London - John Terry is to miss Chelsea's Premier League match away to Swansea on Tuesday - less than a day before a court case begins into allegations he racially abused QPR defender Anton Ferdinand.

However, Chelsea insisted the decision not to field the England captain at the Liberty Stadium was taken purely on medical grounds.

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas said they did not want the central defender aggravating a right knee injury he first suffered when colliding with a post in this month's FA Cup victory over Portsmouth.

Terry played through the pain barrier in last weekend's Cup win over QPR - the first time he and Ferdinand had faced one another since their on-pitch confrontation in October led prosecutors to press racial abuse charges, which the Chelsea skipper has always denied

I see that Terry did not bother to appear at court and instructed huis lawyers to enter a plea of not guilty. The case was then adjourned tillJuly as many of his witnesses would be unable to give evidence till then as they will be too busy playing for Chelsea and various European c ountries. Surely if they are summoned to appear then they must as you or I would have to do regardless of our work commitments..

If our resident legal expert could tear himself away from his Birthday celebrations I would value his opinion in this matter.

It can't look good can it? Maybe it depends on the type of court and case it is.

If anybody, anywhere was ever a c nt it would be John Terry. For shagging his mates Mrs's alone he shouldn't be Captain tbh. FA will pull the, innocent until proven guilty excuse I assume.
