This thread is a great example as to why the forum is so quiet these days imo.
We are all used to the irreverence and slagging that make this site different, but it used to be done with humour.
There is nothing funny or entertaining about the slagging that's going on here, it is personal and vitriolic.
This isn't the only recent thread with this tone and it certainly doesn't do anything for me so I reckon I'm out of here.
Shame, it used to be a great place to visit.

The only person I've ever seen get serious personal abuse (and hand it out) was biscuitman. Everything else is just fucking around.

Some of 1of's responses have been as if he's getting abuse, but I put that down to him not 'getting' the forum yet.

have to agree with you there. There hasn't been any out of the norm abuse lately. 1of's posts and responses have just been awfully boring (to me at least) and I guess people are just trying to rile him up to get things more interesting... maybe.

This forum has been dying as of late, there's no denying that, though I can't see what has actually changed for this to happen. Shame, I can't stand the other forum... I'm staying here.

Im sorry, all I said to begin with was that they did look a bit crap.

From there on it was a somewhat interesting exchange and I did several times mention that had they looked at other threads they would see that I was in fact jesting.
