Well, you've said it now, and I hope you feel the better for it.
Meanwhile, I am devastated after such a callous, cruel and cutting comment.
Foreign git.

Racist! Oh and I'm British actually! Pero vivo en España con mi Familiar, Capullo!

Is the offer for them from one of those Sunday newspaper supplements?

'Foreign' is a generic term which applies to any nationality outwith these islands.
If anything my jibe is xenophobic at a stretch, but more obviously nationalistic rather than 'racist'.
However you are now confirmed as even more if a 'git' than I thought you were...
& a badgeist git to boot.

Can you describe the difference between the two for me? Do you mean, As in British Nationalist Party or League of England?

Its fair enough, I am a git and a cheapandtackymetalist to boot!

I also found this, you tell me based on your context!

Dictionary definitions of xenophobia include: deep-rooted antipathy towards foreigners (Oxford English Dictionary; OED), unreasonable fear or hatred of the unfamiliar, especially people of other races (Webster's)[5]

A xenophobic person has to genuinely think or believe at some level that the target is in fact a foreigner. This arguably separates xenophobia from racism and ordinary prejudice in that someone of a different race does not necessarily have to be of a different nationality. In various contexts, the terms "xenophobia" and "racism" seem to be used interchangeably, though they can have wholly different meanings (xenophobia can be based on various aspects, racism being based solely on race, ethnicity, and ancestry). Xenophobia can also be directed simply to anyone outside a culture, not necessarily one particular race or people.

To answer your question..a full page spread in the Daily Mail, which I buy every day, and also a flyer inside City's officially sanctioned monthly magazine.

Overpriced by about 50% but having promised my Granddaughter the full collection I'm committed.

I'd never break a promise to a child. I'm just relieved we haven't won as much as United have, in a wallet conservation sense.

I don't need to consult dictionaries.
I am not sure why you introduce fringe political parties
to this little exchange.

You need to read words carefully, and not be in too much of a hurry to assert your imagined intellectual and educational superiority.

I used it, as you mentioned nationalistic and Xenophobe in the same post!

Maybe you should use a dictionary from time to time, they are full of interesting words you know!

Your totally right, I am in a hurry, as I am actually working. I understand from the thread that you probably have a lot of time on your hands, remembering the War (s), ration books and the beginning of the industrial revolution and Stevenson's Rocket!

You should perhaps take a look around the Forum and understand how people tick and some of the commonly used phrases!

And were I a woman I'd be your Aunty Diluvian ...yes I've heard all the er...ageist jokes.
Actually 'tis only latterly that I actually realise I'm knocking on a bit.
When upstarts get me down. Still, that's not happening here yet.
Incidentally, I love my Daily Mail and I use a huge dictionary on a regular basis.

Two more badges arrived today. Beautifully packaged in cardboard and plastic.
The Charity Shield of '68 - the win against West Brom at Maine Road...was there to see Bobby Owen's hat-trick...he came from Bury you know, like a certain, more illustrious team mate.
The other ? the more recent 2002 Championship winning season - which seems like a long time ago too, given all that's happened since.
Pics in glorious technicolor soon - contain your excitement Barny.

Daniels anyone?

How people tick ? Who gives a shit.
I find the best way to defend oneself on this forum is to attack - the philosophy of Uncle Joe Mercer...(ask yer Dad.)

'time on my hands' ...if only - you cheeky twat...think I'm retired? I wish.
Not too long to go though ...by the time you qualify for a decent wage I'll be offski.
Too busy saving the planet for the time being. Thanks for putting the thought in my head. Arse.
