It's not their fault the flags consist of the same colours. I like it anyway

Worng Squidgey-boy.

Brazil flag = yellow/gold, green and blue

Why do all the Aussie national teams play in yellow then? I need answers now!

Not all of them LBM, but the colour I think you will find is gold and very different from the Brazilian yellow. They could have done a whole lot more than they did. Nike that is.

Sorry, yes it is gold rather than yellow. But the rugby teams do and so do the cricket team in the 1 dayers (or have they gone green now)? Most national teams follow the colours of their flag, barring the Dutch before anyone points them out, so why gold?

Like I said Danny, I think the simple Nike designs are more about people being able to see a big tick and not a pretty pattern, stripes or anything that would take the attention from it being Nike.

Italy also, and they famously call themselves "the blues" (in italian obviously). For those who you who are interested it's because Blue was the colour of an old Italian Royal Family's crest/coat of arms/flagummyjig. Factoid.

New Zealand would be another particularly famous one (also RWB flag)-I suspect with Aus and Kiwis it's probably not wanting to wear British colours, and about their own identity.

God bless Wiki.

Green and gold are the national colours of Australia, as proclaimed by Sir Ninian Stephen, the Governor General of Australia on 19 April 1984. The exact colours were specified as being Pantone Matching System numbers 116C and 348C. Green and gold are also the traditional team colours of Australian national sporting teams. Nearly every current Australian national sports teams wears "The Green and Gold", although the hues and proportions of the two colours may vary between teams and across eras. It is widely believed that the colours were chosen because they are the dominant colours of Australia's floral emblem, the Golden Wattle.

Both those made me chortle heartily. From now on I shall be calling Danny "Ninny's Studs".

It sounds like something people would be searching for in a film. "Go now, seek ye the Golden Wattle of Ancient Asturian"!

A mate at college went down to the photoshoot to see them shooting Micah, Dunney and Charlie in the new kit for the Shop. She said it's well fit, but couldn't get a decent picture I'm afraid people.

Is it possible to describe a shirt as 'fit'? Clearly it is. Danny losing touch with the kids since, ever...

If we are getting Nike, then the Goofey deal looks a tad more realistic, oh well.

I'll worry about a new kit once I know we've got a team and manager for the 2008/09 season.

I wonder if Frank will deem the sky blue shirt surplus to requirments and not a part of his plan to turn Manchester City into a global brand?

What if he decides we have to use a different colour shirt? Maybe use the Thai national flag colours instead. I wouldn't put anything past the bastard.

Yep. It's bizarre. "These crisps are fit" being an example. Weird.
