Torres finding his form with 2 assists and 2 goals; just in time for the City match.

Interesting to see how the FA cup is becoming so bitter. The FA want both semi finals at Wembley for financial reasons and have designated Sat April 14 and Sun 15 for these games. As soon as they qualified Liverpool demanded that they play on the 14th because the 15th is the anniversary of Hillsborough. Chelsea now claim it is possible that they will qualify for the semi final of the European league which is scheduled for Tuesday 17 April thus only having 48 hours between the games if they play on the15th
Who do the FA want to upset most, Kenny or Terry?

If Liverpool are ordered to play on the 15th will they withdraw from the competition similarly will Chelsea under the same circumstances.
If so will the final be given to spurs so Harry can go off happily to be England Manager?

They should play on the 15th or be kicked out of the Premiership.

The plot moves on.
The Scousers have to play at 1230 so as not to clash with the Grand National being held 200 miles away and the travelling will be difficult enough to get to Wembley for that time and then the Londoners will be able to drink all day before smashing the place up after tea on Sunday.

The FA do not think .

I am surprised that the plods have allowed such a late kick off on the Sunday.

Was today's referreeing the worst for ages?

All the ball has to cross all the line to be a goal That ball was nowhere near the line and he gives a goal.

Reina and donut were both sent off recently for fouls like Cech and he does not even get a yellow nor a penalty.'
was it essien kicks out at parker rooney style and Parker gets a yellow for wanting revenge . Essien gets a yellow for A deliberate foul.

Atkinson is fast becoming ajoke

Correct decision. The referee played advantage (as he is entitled to) and a goal was immediately scored. There'd have been uproar if the ref gave a penalty and sent Cech off (chalking off Bale's goal) only for the penalty to be saved. Cech could hardly be accused of denying a goalscoring opportunity - which is what Reina and Doni were sent off for.

Similarly, if a player stops a goal going in on the line with his hand but the rebound is immediately put in, that player won't receive a red card.

Arguably he could have sent him off and given the goal. A deliberate foul attracts a red card no matter what the circumstances.

No he couldn't. Violent conduct attracts a red card regardless of circumstances. Deliberate fouls happen fairly regularly (defenders/midfielders 'stopping' a player as they launch a counter-attack being the most obvious example) and tend to only receive a yellow at worst unless it's a case of denying a goalscoring opportunity - which this wasn't.

By definition a deliberate foul must imply violent conduct.

No it mustn't. 'Violence' is defined as 'behaviour involving physical force intended to hurt, damage, or kill someone or something' - it requires an intention to do damage. Bringing a player down with the intention of preventing him from going through on goal is not 'violent' as there is no intention to do damage to the actual player. Whilst damage may occur, it is the intention to do damage which separates 'violent conduct' from other offences; a reckless two-footed challenge with studs showing, for example, is not a case of 'violent conduct' but of 'serious foul play'.

Which makes contact can only do damage , therefore surely the fact that the player presents his studs in a 2 footed tackle implies that he knows what he is doing and therefore must have malice aforethought by knowing that he is going to hurt some one . The degree of hurt is irrelevant .
