Bassy rift - The gap between that which is known to be real and that which is perceived to be so. For example, 'That Cardigans album is mint' or 'The {insert band name} are shit.' The new forum, were it up to the job, would simply take these statements and reinterpret them to say, 'blah blah blah, yada yada, you're banned.'
