Apologies if this is in another thread.
Eriksson’s year-long reign as Manchester City manager was finally brought to an end on Monday morning after a drawn out saga, and the former England boss is now in Mexico to tie up a deal, according to the local media.
From there, the former England boss sent thanks to the City fans for backing him all the way through to the bitter end of his Eastlands' tenure.
"They are the best and most loyal fans any club or manager could have," he said.
"I was touched by their backing and the way they applauded the side after we lost so badly at Middlesbrough was extraordinary. I have never seen anything like that before.
"I promise I will never forget the backing they gave me. I will miss them and the city, I always felt at home in Manchester."
"But that is football and that is life and we have to move on. I wish everyone good luck."
I'll miss you, but this is football. Good luck for you Mr. Eriksson
