Apologies if this is in another thread.

Eriksson’s year-long reign as Manchester City manager was finally brought to an end on Monday morning after a drawn out saga, and the former England boss is now in Mexico to tie up a deal, according to the local media.

From there, the former England boss sent thanks to the City fans for backing him all the way through to the bitter end of his Eastlands' tenure.

"They are the best and most loyal fans any club or manager could have," he said.

"I was touched by their backing and the way they applauded the side after we lost so badly at Middlesbrough was extraordinary. I have never seen anything like that before.

"I promise I will never forget the backing they gave me. I will miss them and the city, I always felt at home in Manchester."

"But that is football and that is life and we have to move on. I wish everyone good luck."

He always felt at home in Manchester. So much so that he didn't even need to have a home here.

Empty platitudes.

Call me a cynic, but as George Bernard Shaw once said, "The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it."

Yngwie's a real porker. He's always been a bit on that side hasn't he? Its still downloading btw.

If I call myself a cynic, does that mean I have powers of accurate observation or not?

*is confused*

My hair colour is natural Aryan. What could be more genuine than that?

I found that quite difficult to watch in places. Cracking film though.

Yup, first time I've watched it, quite disturbing in parts, the young lad did a cracking job.

Not enough swearing though.

Watched Charlie Wilson's War. Not a bad film. Phillip Seymour Hoffman is tremendous in it.

Might try and go for a hat-trick of his films this week - Before the Devil Knows You're Dead and The Savages are supposed to be excellent.

This is England is one of the best films I've seen in the lsat few years.

A few nights ago I dusted down my copy of Made In England. This was a film directed by Alan Clarke starring Tim Roth in what, I think, was his first role.

Very sad and it appeared all too true.

Not sure if I've seen that or not.

N'other good skin head film is Romper Stomper, think it was one of Russell Crowes first pics.

Good wasn't it? They got the feel of the times so right. I was the age of the characters in the film at the time it was supposed to be set and I could almost smell the nostalgia.
