Manchester City owner Thaksin Shinawatra decided to sack manager Sven-Goran Eriksson because he believed the Swede would be willing to quit the club for Chelsea. (Daily Express)

I don't follow the logic.
Sack him cos he might go or sack him and he will go?

I don't get it either.

Sack him and have to pay him off, or let him go of his own accord and pay fuck all off.

The Express = Shit bags

There is no logic to it, it like someone reporting last summer that Sven might quit City as he's worried he might get the sack in the future.

With regards to transfer funds, I believe that our current targets, Ronaldinho in particular, are Frank's targets, nowt to do with Sven. Frank wants Ronaldinho to raise our profile as a club especially in Asia, I doubt he's given it a second thought as to whether he'd improve the squad. IMO if it did happen we could end up being a laughing stock.

True.

Read the article on the MuEN yesterday regarding the comments made by one of Frank's advisers in Bangkok on Sven's future and the Ronaldinho interest, made my heart sink.

When the bastard bought my club I had a bad feeling it would end up like this.

I'm not going to say "I told you so" as I am too depressed about this.

Fuck it! I'm going to stick with Sporting Fingal! (Though I'm not sure where their ground is yet).

Thing is Miggs, we've had some right fucking idiots run the club, manage the club, and indeed play for the club, but Frank's summat else.

i know its frustrating that a man that has probably never kicked a football in his life and has no idea about the beatiful game and great club we all support is pulling all the shots, but the man knows how to run a business and surely he must see something that we dont, and who knows maybe in a few years we can be one of the richest clubs in the world and then we wouldnt have to worry about selling our good young players to buy in top class players as the money we will be making can take care of that. either that or he turns us into even bigger laughing stocks than we already are, im prepared to give him a chance and let him do what he seems fit to take the club in the right direction because we were going no where before he took over and we were up to out necks in debt and headed for the champinship, but since he has taken over we have had a world class manager a top ten finish and a european spot all achieved in his first year. I know its not all down to thaksin but surely its got something to do with it

Bollocks. I started supporting Manchester City 21st February 1969 when we were winning everything. We should never have given Mercer the boot.

well your one of the lucky ones that has seen city achieve success, all ive seen in my meagre 10 years of supporting is numerous relegations and a laughable european campaign, so for me i see any progress that frank can guide us to as an improvement to what we have been the last decade or two.
