Sven Goran Eriksson's future at Manchester City still remains in the balance after owner Thaksin Shinawatra sidestepped questions on Tuesday.

Eriksson is expected to part company with the club after his first season in charge following a dip in form during the second half of the 2007/08 campaign.

Thaksin would not speak of the Swede's future but confirmed that changes in personnel are afoot following the club's end-of-season review.

"It's normal at the end of the season that every Premier League football club will have to do something with the team, by strengthening the team," the Thai billionaire told reporters.

"Everything is part of strengthening the team, including coach, players and even improving the pitch ourselves."

Also the new boss will have to sell before he buys - if we can't unload Bianchi for the 9 mill we asked for him - we're in deep shit

How about "improving" the owner?

I think Fwank could do with a better grasp of how football works, and the fact that for a first season in charge, turning us from a relegation team into a top 10 side was real progress under Sven. next year, with more new signings, a push for the top 6 isn't out of the question. Patience, Fwank, my dear boy, patience.
