Sven Goran Eriksson is set to hold talks with Manchester City Football Club owner Thaksin Shinawatra.

The Swede is widely expected to be sacked despite the support shown in him by the Blues faithful, yet his future will be thrashed out once and for all when he meets Shinawatra as part of a planned review of the club.

“With regards to the manager's position, we are making no official comment,” said head of communications Paul Tyrell. “We've made no official comment apart from saying that there will be a review held at the end of the season.

"That meeting will be part of a performance review into the whole of the club, which the chairman called for a number of weeks ago. I'd envisage that the review would take another week at least.”

Hopefully he'll stay, I believe he'll stay because we got in the UEFA Cup for next season.
