Whatever and whoever you buy it will still be 11 against 11 on matchday.

Well done on the money but dont expect to win things.

West Ham will still finish above you this year!

Yup, that's exactly how it works, which is why you guys beat the slightly-less-rich-than-us Chelsea every year, right?

Seriously how do you think the team will perform up until January knowing that they probably wont be around for much longer?

Will the people you bring in settle? I think Mourinho was instremental in Chelski's success as he got solid players in and made them gel as a team.

Just remember Greece in the Euro's its not about the players but the team ethos.

I do have a bit of a soft spot for City and looked out for their results. Loved Uwe Roslers penalty against us in the 3rd round of the cup!

How do you think Utd will respond to recent events? Do you reckon they will role over and be tickled if you try and buy Ronaldo? How much would he cost?

Whats the most you could physically spend on a team 1,100 million avg. 100m per player? Abramovic could deal with that.

Dont want to piss on your generator Frank Gallagher style just interested in what you think?

BTW are the estates in Manchester really like those on Shameless?

You might have a multi-billionaire in charge but Im just glad I live in Essex if they are

You are right, 11 against 11. And on any given day anything is possible, which is part of the attraction of soccerball. But the cream will rise to the top in the end.

Valid, reasoned and educated arguments there lads, glad that my taxes are going towards a good education for you all.

Seriously the West Ham bit was a light heated gesture so you knew who I supported.

My point is that Money isnt everything. Abramovic can still compete, Utd always will as will Liverpool and Arsenal.

We will always produce good youth players and that is fundemental in the development of football. No new players, no football in the future.

Obviously you can now afford to buy who you want but now everyone knows that money bags is in charge they will be asking for vastly inflated sums.

Just a bit fed up with the gloating from you lot but dont lose touch with reality. It was an affable club because it lived in the shadows of its bigger more arrogant rival. But what now eh? Inflated ticket prices, bigger stands how exactly will you feel that - with plastics - prawn sandwich munchers.

Football is dead. Its supposed to be a working mans game but how long before you cant afford to go or are involved in a European super league when the team is playing all over the world.

The days ofShaun Goater will be missed of that I am sure.

R.I.P.

If you look at various other posts, a large majority of people on here are concerned for our youth team, and are hoping Hughes gets the power to buy well, rather than lavishing cash on the likes of Ronald (£135m FFS!!). We're happy we're minted, but we still want to maintain our identity.

Thanks for the lecture though. I'm sure if you're club gets taken over by billionaires you'll be far more reserved than us lot....

Well, who won the league last year? Point proven!

Oh and West Ham man shouldn't you be worried that the openly fascist Di Canio is seriously being touted as a replacement for Curbs? You'd cement your reputation as one of the most hated clubs in England then.
