Whilst these Mickey Mouse games are on I can see some advantages in a break, fitness wise and rest wise. Trouble isPeople will be travelling miles and miles in aeroplanes to obscure places and might not even get a game, just sit on a bench in the cold. Or even worse, play for 20 minutes and get injured.
We have a number of important League games coming up, not to mention in Europe ( or Liverpool which is nearer Ireland than Europe).
For me, like many older supporters, the League is far more important than Europe. They are both money making events for the owners, TV, and EUFA, but winning the League is what it is all about.

Fair points Bert. I can't believe we are favourites for the CL. It doesn't make sense when you have serial winners in the last 8.

My only fear, like yours, is injury during this period. I wouldn't be terribly upset if Salah picked up a knock mind...

Yeah..I kinda pondered that.. don't wish anyone injury but a.little knock to Salah would be in our favour..

But we should be confident. It's just that we are at the business end and this is game we love..
