Khaldoun Al Mubarak is a good man.
He is the Sheikh's man in the Etihad and generally runs City on his behalf.
He has been talking about last season and the next. He is not happy about people congratulating him on coming third. He has adopted the well known northern saying that there is nowt for coming second and therefore considers last season a bit of a failure.
But then he wasn't at Moss Rose was he?
He has said that he wants to win the Quadruple next season. Admirable ambition, but maybe he should just have said the double and then the treble or even the quadruple would be a bonus.
Imagine the fun the others across the city will have if we have a bit of a wobble in the 4th round of the League Cup?
We seem to have set off on the right foot with Silva B and a goalkeeper. Names being mentioned as targets sound good if we can get them.
It is good that he has these ambitions. They are all our ambitions.

Aye i saw that, the being irritated at congratulations for third place struck me as well. Sign of the times, where we are now and what we can almost expect, in that winning nowt but coming close is not good enough, in fact it's beneath us. I'd guess the quadruple thing is half "aim for the stars" and half having the self belief that it's doable. Lose the old "typical city" mindset and replace with a new norm of monstering everybody.

We will always have typical city
Thats us lot I mean.
But the money spent and the fact they got the man to lead they wanted. That mindset they have is probs to be expected now.
We are going to be pretty tasty if they get all the players they are after.
And we should be quite cocky about next season.
